How it works

From drop-off to pickup

  1. 01

    Register the item

    Type the phone number. Customers already on file fill in on their own, so there are no duplicates.

  2. 02

    Print the claim ticket

    An 80 mm thermal ticket with a tear-off tag that carries the ticket number and rack location. Email a receipt too, if you like.

  3. 03

    Track what is pending

    Ready, in progress and late items, sorted so the next thing to do is always on top.

  4. 04

    Hand it back

    Mark it picked up and it moves to history. Tapped the wrong one? Undo is right there.

Reminders

Reminders that go out on their own

Once a day, GentleTag checks every unclaimed item and sends a friendly reminder by SMS, and by email when the customer left one.

  • Day 7, 14 and 30 after the ready date, then it stops.
  • In English or French, whichever the customer prefers.
  • Signed with your business name.
  • Send one by hand anytime from the Reminders screen.

Consent, on record

Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL) asks you to show when and how each customer agreed to hear from you. GentleTag keeps that record for you.

Recorded at the counter

Each customer’s consent is saved with the date and how it was given. Reminders only go to customers who said yes.

Customers can opt out by text message. It takes effect right away.
